Pangenia’s advanced test platforms can rapidly process huge amounts of genetic information within a shorter time. Our analytical instruments utilize next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology which can meticulously screen sections of an individual’s genome to identify mutations. This can be hugely effective in designing personalized treatments. We also provide real-time PCR and Sanger sequencing test services to meet patients’ differing needs.

Mr. Joseph Tam — Director
Professor Joseph Tam is a research pioneer with over 30 years of teaching and research experiences in the biotechnology and diagnostics field. Prof. Joseph Tam is a Visiting Professor at UCSF, Baylor Medical College and Medical College of Georgia; Scientist of NIH; Associate Professor and Honorary Associate Professor of Medical Faculty of Hong Kong University; and the founder, past secretary and president of the Hong Kong Biochemistry Association. With the support of UNESCO, Dr. Tam organized and trained the first group of scientists in China and Asia Pacific Regions on recombinant DNA research in 1983. During his years of teaching and researching in HKU, Prof. Tam invented, now patented, the “Flow-Through Hybridization” technology. In 2006, Prof. Tam established DiagCor Bioscience Incorporated Limited in following his passion and dedication for Molecular Diagnostics and the nurture of Hong Kong’s next generations in biotechnology.
Prof. Enders Ng — Scientific Advisor
Prof. Enders Ng oversees Pangenia’s laboratory operations and research. He has over 15 years of molecular diagnostics and pathology experience. His research is mainly focused on assay development for capturing novel biomarkers of DNA and RNA including microRNA in blood for diagnosis and prognosis of cancer. Professor Ng has published over 100 review articles and peer-reviewed journals. In addition to his leadership role at Pangenia, he is also a Fellow at The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, Appointed Assessor for laboratory accreditation, and Honorary Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong.
